Description: Black Friday is one of the major retail shopping days in the United States. It occurs the day after Thanksgiving. It is the day that many consumers begin shopping for Christmas presents.

Many retail stores open early on Black Friday and offer deep discounts on selected products for early birds. In addition, there are many other promotions and sales connected with Black Friday.

The name "Black Friday" comes from retailers turning profitable ("in the black") on this day of the year, when up to then they may have been unprofitable (or "in the red").

Cyber Monday

Description: Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday. On this day, online retailers start to see a significant increase in sales as consumers begin shopping for Christmas presents in earnest.
