Also known as: Split foyer Description: Bi-level homes include two short sets of stairs and two levels. The main
entrance to the home leads to the landing of a stairway. From there a short
flight of stairs leads up to the top floor and another short flight of
stairs leads down to the lower floor. The top floor often has full height
ceilings with the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms and
bathrooms, while the lower floor likely has lower ceilings and is partially
underground. A garage may take up a portion of the lower floor. |
