Volleyball

Description: Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six active players, separated by a high net, each try to score points against one another by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. The complete rules of volleyball are extensive, but in general, play proceeds as follows: Points are scored by grounding the ball on the opponents' court, or when the opponent commits a fault. The first team to reach 25 points wins the set and the first team to win three sets wins the match. The ball is usually played with the hands or arms, but players can legally strike or push (short contact) the ball with any part of the body.

Tennis

Description: Tennis is a game played between two players (singles) or between two teams of two players (doubles). Players use a strung racket (racquet) to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt (most of the time yellow, but can be any color or even two-tone) over a net into the opponent's court. It can be played by anyone who can hold a racket, including people in wheelchairs.

Facts: Tennis originated in England in the late 19th century as "lawn tennis," with its roots going back to the ancient game of real tennis. Except for the adoption of the tie-breaker in the 1970s, its rules have remained remarkably unchanged since the 1890s.

Racquetball

Description: Racquetball is a racquet sport played with a hollow rubber ball in an indoor or outdoor court. Paddleball (handball) added a stringed racquet to the game in the 1950s to increase velocity and control; it became racquetball. Unlike most racquet sports, such as tennis or badminton, the court's walls, floor, and ceiling are legal playing surfaces, rather than out-of-bounds. Normally, a racquetball game is played between two opposing players, though three- and four-player variations exist
